Tourist attractions in Australia

Since Australia has been isolated from other continents for millions of years, most of  flora and fauna (kangaroos, koala bear, emus) are unique to Australia. Millions of  tourists come to Australia every year to see the wildlife and visit  its beaches. Tourism is one of  the fastest growing industries. Some of  the major tourist attractions are:

1. Great Ocean Road and the Victorian Gold Rush towns - Bendigo, Ballarat

2.Alice Springs and the opal mines, where people live underground to remain cool

3. Noosa has a national park and beaches

4. Fraser island is the largest sand island in the world. Tourists can camp there

5. Airlie beach, through swimming is not allowed due to sharks

6. Ayers Rock (Uluru) is a natural monolith.
